In March 2022, Google added a new left column in gmail for apps. If you'd like to hide that column, use this script.
This script also makes your left folder column less wide. The previous setting was 256px. This script changes the width to 156px.
WARNING BUG: this script will hide the names of the people in the left column of the Google Chat app. I need to fix this bug.
