Other features:
Tracks by item/user ID, so if they change the name, they'll still be muted
Can either totally mute items, or have it display a placeholder blurb (with adjustable amounts of information)
Can add the reason you muted the thing
Import or export your mutelists if you change devices
NEW: Interface can be set to darkmode (defaults to lightmode)
NEW: Sort your tags in the interface by name or date added
NEW: Muting a series will also mute all works in that series
Where can you mute from?
Click 'Muting' on the AO3 nav bar to open the menu to access your settings and mute lists
Works/series can be muted from their blurbs (e.g. in search results) or their work/series pages: Click the big 'M' to mute, and (if placeholders are enabled) the little 'm' to unmute
Works/series with only one author: click the 'X' to get the mute options dropdown for that user
Users can be muted from their profile page or dashboard: click the 'X' by their name at the top to get the mute options dropdown for that user
NEW: Tags can be muted from the meta information at the top of a work, or the header at the top of a tag page or work listing
NEW: If you enable it in the settings, then every tag in the work listings will have a mute button beside it. (Not recommended for slower/older mobile devices)
