This script enhances your browsing experience by adding a powerful, yet easy-to-use, control panel directly onto the YouTube page. You can finally tailor your feed, search results, and subscription pages to show only the videos that matter to you, and sort them in any order you wish.

How to Use

  1. Navigate to YouTube. You will see a new control panel on the right side of the screen.
  2. Make sure the main "Filters On" button is green.

  3. To Filter Videos (Live):
    • Simply adjust any value, checkbox, or dropdown in the control panel.
    • The videos on the page will filter themselves automatically within a second. This is for temporary, on-the-fly filtering.

  4. To Save Your Settings:
    • Once you have a filter setup you want to keep, click the "Save as Default" button.
    • The button will flash "Saved!" and your settings will now be the new default every time you visit YouTube.

  5. To Sort Videos:
    • Choose a sorting method from the "Sort Order" dropdown menu.
    • Click the orange "Sort Now" button. The videos on your screen will instantly reorder.

Understanding the "Sort Now" Feature


Sorting is a one-time action on the videos currently visible on the page. If you scroll down and YouTube loads new videos (infinite scroll), the order will be disrupted. To fix this, simply click "Sort Now" again to re-sort the entire list, including the new videos.

How to Install

  1. Make sure you have a user script manager. Tampermonkey is recommended (available for Chrome, Firefox, Edge, Safari).
  2. Click the "Install this script" button on this page.
  3. Your script manager will open a new tab. Confirm the installation.
