Click three-dots-button on an image -> Report -> Dowload
Pick a place in Google Maps -> Photos -> Select a photo -> Click the three-dots -> Report -> Click big Download link.
Not the most easy to use, but it works fine. Could be used as a starting point for a script that adds a Download link on top of the image without having to click the three-dots..
