I think this may be the same problem as a fixed issue with embedded videos. Will look closer an a day or two.
In the mean time, just to make sure, you are using this extension https://chromewebstore.google.com/detail/disable-autoplay-for-yout/dinkeiniijmpjehejhedbciaedblhnnk, and using the extension to disable preloading (called "Stop the video and prevent buffering"). Did I understand that correctly?
On a side note. "Optimized Auto" is no longer supported and has been removed from from latest versions. Are you sure your script is up to date?
That is indeed the extension I'm using. =)
For the "Optimized Auto", I simply saw it in the script description and was wondering what it does (since I don't have a menu, I didn't know if I had the option or not haha). I've double-checked and my script is indeed up to date.
Thank you very much for the quick response!
The issue should have been fixed along with the incorrect description in the latest version (2025.06.03).
The extension you are using actually was causing 2 issues instead of 1.
The update works perfectly, thank you very much for taking the time to work on such a specific case!
And thank you for the explanation as well. =)

I am trying to use this with the "Disable Autoplay for Youtube™" extension, however if I choose to also block preloading, then this script won't work and the video will load with "auto" quality (because if preload is disabled, the "quality" setting doesn't exist yet, all I have before clicking play is what's shown in the provided image). Would "Optimized auto" help fix this (admittedly very specific) problem? I'm using Adguard & I don't have the menu, so I don't know what that setting does. Either way, excellent script I've been using for a long time. Thank you in advance for any help you can provide! =)
