FIREFOX 142.0.1, but the image quality settings menu no longer appears in recent versions.
Confirmed with violentmonkey and tampermonkey.

I have moved the the script's menu inside youtube's existing quality menu as a way to provide compatibility for Safari based script managers.
Many script managers on Safari are unable to display option menus at all, which led this script to crash silently upon trying to start.

Tell me if you see the menu there. I am pretty sure it works but the script does try to do fancy things which can be a bit finicky.

So that was the reason.
It was indeed in the picture quality menu.
